Wisconsin Dells: Tips for Travelling With Friends

It’s always fun to plan a vacation with friends. These are the people that you love to spend time with right, so what could possibly go wrong? If you’re not careful, then we can tell you that plenty of things may just take a turn for the south! Travelling is such a unique experience that it brings out people’s true selves. If you are not careful, a carefree vacation to the Wisconsin Dells could turn out to be one of the most stressful times in your life. We don’t want this to happen to you, especially not on your Wisconsin Dells vacation, so here is some sound advice.

1. Prepare a schedule and stick to it- When you make an agreement to be up and ready to leave by 5 A.M, stick to that. You know that it’s rude to keep your friends waiting. They probably did not enjoy waking up early too, but for the good of everyone, they had to do it. Remember to show the same respect and courtesy that you expect from them. This doesn’t only pertain to times, but general behavior.

2. Be fair and share the driving responsibility- It can be hard work driving into the Dells, especially if you’re from far, far. Now, don’t let one person take the brunt in the work. Distribute driving times fairly, to ensure everyone can get some downtime too. You’ll limit the possibility of having one cranky or uber-tired friend which may ruin your plans in your case, if you decide to take action this way!

3. Consider that everyone has different interests- Sure, you guys are all friends, but that doesn’t mean that you want to do the exact same things all the time. Make sure everyone has some time to explore which part of the Dells they would like to check out. Set aside a day or even just a morning or afternoon to do so. If you’re traveling with couples, perhaps each couple would like some alone time so respect that.

Make traveling with friends, easy, fun and stress-free. You don’t want to start out the vacation as friends but come home never speaking to each other again!
